Wonderland Deck

The primary objective of this project, which is based on the subject of Alice in Wonderland, is to create a stage that will improve a live performance. The objective was to create an immersive and visually engaging environment that enhances both the performance and the audience's experience. The design employs size and form to investigate spatial composition, lighting, and materials in order to satisfy the practical requirements of a live stage while representing the surreal and dramatic aspect of the concept.

Technical Drawings

The technical drawings created for the stage design are shown in this section, together with plans, elevations, and thorough annotations that convey the project's structure and spatial organization. The designs show how various elements, including the stage platforms, circulation areas, and structural components, are placed with an emphasis on proportion, scale, and construction logic. These technical representations ensure clarity in both visual communication and practical execution by explicitly translating the design from concept into a buildable proposal.

Sketches

The stage design's evolution from preliminary concepts to a final one is depicted in the sketches. With an emphasis on stage form, features, and visual components, various layouts and design possibilities were investigated. A more finished and useful stage was the outcome of the design's gradual refinement, which included improved proportions, a clearer structure, and additional elements like lighting and focal points.

Visuals

The final stage design is shown in the visualizations, which emphasize the space's overall composition, materiality, and ambiance. Oversized playing cards and a patterned stage floor are used in the design, which draws inspiration from a lighthearted casino motif to provide a distinctive visual identity. The truss lighting system improves the stage presence and performance experience, while the use of stacked platforms and geometric shapes provides depth and structure. The images show how lighting, scale, and arrangement combine to produce a dynamic and captivating setting for both the audience and the performers.
